This Privacy Policy explains how the Pride Sikhe app ("App", "we", "our")
handles information when you use our application.

The Pride Sikhe app does not require you to create an account.
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• Your location
• Your device contacts or photos
• Advertising identifiers
• Usage analytics or crash data

2. INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE ONLY

The App stores the following data locally on your device only.
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:
• Playback history — a local record of audio you have played,
used to display "Recently Played" on the home screen.
• Reading preferences — font size and display settings.

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App connects to the following external services to deliver content.
Each service operates under its own Privacy Policy.
a) Google Gemini API (AI feature — "Gurbani Gyan AI")
When you type a question in the AI chat, your question text is sent
to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. We do not store these
questions. Google's data handling is governed by Google's Privacy Policy:

b) gurbaniupdesh.org
Audio files (Kirtan, Katha, Nitnem) are streamed directly from
gurbaniupdesh.org's servers. We do not control their servers or
data practices.
c) SGPC Hukamnama (old.sgpc.net)
The App fetches the daily Hukamnama from the Shiromani Gurdwara
Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) servers. No personal data is sent in
these requests.
d) App Content (Firebase Hosting)
Gurbani text, eBooks, and bani lists are fetched from static hosting.
These are read-only public files. No personal data is involved.

4. INTERNET PERMISSION

The App requires Internet access solely to:
• Fetch the daily Hukamnama
• Stream audio content
• Provide AI-powered Gurbani answers via Google Gemini
• Download Gurbani text and eBook content

5. BACKGROUND AUDIO
────────────────────────────────────────
The App plays audio in the background using Android's Foreground Service
with the FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK permission. This is used only
for audio playback and does not involve any data collection.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Pride Sikhe is a religious and educational app suitable for all ages.
We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone,
including children under the age of 13.

be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
